Jimmy Fincher, The Child of the Gifts, was born in Duluth, Georgia, completely unaware of what his future would be like, or that he would someday save the world. When the Union of Knights (who were controlled by the Shadow Ka) began trying to open a Door in the Woods, Jimmy got there first. He received the first gift, and eventually the three others. Jimmy saved earth from the Stompers, and is now saving other worlds from them.
